Words are my life. I spent my childhood reading everything in sight, writing a neighborhood newspaper, and playing word games. When I reached college I read the classics (MA in British and American Literature from Brandeis) then moved into the world of journalism (Features Editor) and publishing (Developmental Editor). After years of freelancing in journalism and editing, I returned to school for an MFA from Lesley University. My work has appeared in numerous newspapers and literary magazines including Westview, Solsticelitmag, and Puerto del Sol, as well as the anthology Beyond the Yellow Wallpaper. I recently  finished a novel and am currently working on a memoir. During this time I have taught writing at every level from elementary school through university, adult education, and literacy programs; received a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council; and was named a Massachusetts Humanities Scholar. My current editorial work encompasses reading and consultation, developmental editing, copy/line editing, and coaching. Having worked with writers at every stage of the creative process and in a variety of genres, I focus primarily on fiction, nonfiction, and memoir but love learning new subjects and working in many fields.
